Early Access — Open for developer integration testing

CAIRL Checkbox

Request an age claim through a supported CAIRL flow

A component surface for supported age checks. Configure the request, direct the person through the applicable flow, and receive the authorized result.

What it does

Age-gating requirements vary by jurisdiction, audience, and use case. The requesting service remains responsible for selecting an appropriate supported flow and policy.

CAIRL Checkbox is a component surface that can trigger supported age and identity capabilities. The applicable flow determines the evidence, authorization, information returned, and retention boundary.

In supported claims-sharing flows, a service can receive a verified claim without receiving the underlying ID document.

Key capabilities

Copy-paste integration

When the drop-in ships, integration is a div and one script tag on WordPress, Shopify, or plain HTML, in redirect or iframe mode, with no npm and no React. The script is not served yet, so the snippet does not run today.

Bounded claims sharing

Supported claims-sharing flows can return a signed result without sending the underlying ID document.

Flow-specific handling

Current technical documentation defines the evidence, account, biometric, retention, and response boundaries for each supported mode.

Deterministic sandbox

Sandbox keys are not issued for the drop-in yet. When it ships, sandbox keys will return deterministic fixtures with zero human in the loop, and going live will use the same integration contract.

Ready when you are

Move from explanation to implementation.

CAIRL is built to let users control identity and let platforms trust the result. Choose the next step that matches the surface you are building.

In supported claims-sharing flows, your service can receive a verified claim without receiving the underlying ID document.

In development — this is a design preview

The drop-in script is not yet served, so the snippets in the quickstart do not run today and live keys are not issued. To integrate identity verification now, use the OAuth quickstart — it is live and supported.

What it costs

Not yet priced

Checkbox is in development, and CAIRL has not set a price for an age check through it yet.

When it is priced, each check will be charged from a prepaid balance under metered pricing, with no subscription and no per-seat minimum. See metered pricing.

The intended quickstart

Two lines of HTML, a server-side token exchange, and boolean claims on your callback. The quickstart publishes that integration contract so it can be reviewed before it ships; the script it describes is not served yet.
