Logo

CAIRL logo system — primary wordmark, compact mark, clearspace, and misuse rules.

Logo

The CAIRL logo system has two forms: a primary wordmark and a compact mark. All marks are SVG vectors with outlined paths — no font dependencies.

Primary wordmark

The [CAIRL] wordmark is the primary brand mark. The brackets are a structural motif that signals containment and control.

Construction:

  • Bracket geometry: IBM Plex Mono Bold 700, 50.2% opacity, 1.5x letterform size
  • Letterforms: IBM Plex Mono SemiBold 600, 100% opacity
  • ViewBox: 0 0 380 120 (19:6 aspect ratio)
  • Colors: Pure Black (#000000) or Pure White (#FFFFFF) only
  • Files: cairl-logo-black.svg, cairl-logo-white.svg

Trust Blue is never used in the wordmark. The wordmark appears in black on light backgrounds and white on dark backgrounds.

Compact mark

The [C] compact mark is used where the full wordmark cannot fit.

  • ViewBox: 0 0 120 120 (1:1 square)
  • Construction: Same bracket geometry and opacity rules as the primary wordmark
  • Files: cairl-logo-square-black.svg, cairl-logo-square-white.svg

Product lockups

CAIRL has no current product lockups. The legacy slash lockups are retired and must not be used; refer to products in text by their ordinary names, such as Vault and Mail.

Clearspace

All marks require a minimum clearspace of 1x on all four sides, where 1x equals 18% of the mark height.

Minimum display sizes:

MarkMinimum width
Primary wordmark140px
Compact mark32px

Below the 32px floor, omit the mark entirely or use text only.

Misuse

The following treatments are prohibited across all CAIRL marks:

Geometry: Do not stretch, rotate, skew, or crop any mark.

Color: Do not recolor, change opacity, apply gradients, or mix colors within a mark.

Structure: Do not add a slash, a product name, or any other element to the mark.

Typography: Do not reconstruct the wordmark using CSS or live type. Always use the provided SVG.

Effects: Do not apply drop shadows, glows, outlines, or other visual effects.

Spacing: Do not violate clearspace requirements or display marks below minimum sizes.

Context: Do not place marks on busy or patterned backgrounds. Do not use marks to imply co-branding or endorsement.
